After Using Your Homemade Whitener

After using your homemade whitener, you'll need to avoid any food or drink that stains. Avoid coffee, tea, and soda. These will counteract the effect you spent so much time getting. The teeth will naturally return to their yellower color anyway; you don't want to speed up this process.

If a user desires an even stronger whitening effect, he or she can use Crest Whitestrips or one of the other over-the-counter teeth whitening products. The combination of homemade teeth whitener and over-the-counter teeth whitening products provides for an excellent whitening effect. Also, one can use homemade teeth whitener after laser teeth whitening to create the most effective teeth whitening possible.

Using Your Homemade Whitener

First, make sure your teeth are very, very dry. Ensure that your gums, lips, cheeks, and tongue are as dry as possible, too. There is no "too dry" here; you'll want to dry everything as much as possible. You can do this with cotton balls. Put some of the paste onto your toothbrush and start brushing your teeth. Brush in small circles, and brush in circles. Spend five minutes on your upper set of teeth and five minutes on the lower set. You can spend less time if you desire, but to get the best whitening effect, spend five minutes on each. After you are finished, rinse and spit. This method is very effective, but do not use it everyday. You will only need this every other day for one to three weeks to achieve a very powerful whitening effect.

Making Your Own Whitener

Making your own whitener is the cheapest way to whiten your teeth; also, besides laser teeth whitening, it is arguably the most effective way to whiten your teeth. You'll need two ingredients and two supplies: hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, a bowl, and a toothbrush. Take a pinch of banking soda, place it into the bowl, and then put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide on it. Add peroxide or baking soda, while stirring the solution with your toothbrush until you get a pasty substance. Adding more baking soda will make the solution thicker, and adding more hydrogen peroxide will make it more watery. The paste will be your own toothpaste.

Cheap Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening does not have to be expensive. One does not need to use laser teeth whitening; although it is the fastest, most effective way to whiten teeth, there are other, cheaper ways to get almost as good of an effect. You can use Crest's Whitestrips; use the more werful ones such as the Advanced Seal or Supreme Whitestrips. However, even these can be expensive. There is even a cheaper way to whiten your teeth. Make your own whitener! Making your own whitener is very easy, and it is very inexpensive. The ingredients will can cost you two dollars or less!

Effective and Ineffective Whiteners

Not all teeth whiteners are created equal. Some are very effective, some are very ineffective. Let's take a look at some of them.

Laser teeth whitening - Laser teeth whitening is extremely effective and fast. It will set you back quite a lot of money, however.

Whitening Trays - White trays come in two varieties: over-the-counter and not-over-the-counter. The over-the-counter trays are very effective, and the not-over-the-counter trays are even more effective. A common brand of over-the-counter whitening trays is Aquafresh White Trays.

Whitening Strips - Whitening strips have varying degrees of effectiveness; they come in strengths of anywhere from 6% hydrogen peroxide to 14%. The Common brand is Crest Whitestrips, which comes in many varieties: Renewal, Classic, Premium, Premium Plus, Pro Effects, Advanced Seal, Daily Whitening Multicare, Daily Whitening Multicare with Tartar Control, Professional, and Supreme.

Whitening Toothpastes - Whitening toothpaste is not effective, as it does not contain a bleaching agent. It contains abrasive materials, which are designed to knock off discoloring particles, but it does not bleach the teeth.

Whitening Mouthwashes - These are the most ineffective of all whiteners; they do contain a bleaching agent, however. But, this bleaching agent is virtually useless, since it is only held in the mouth for one minute; bleaching agents need to be on the teeth for at least twenty minutes to take much effect. Listerine makes a popular brand of whitening mouthwash. tening, whitening trays, whitening strips, Whitestrips, renewal, classic, premium, premium plus, pro effects, advanced seal, daily whitening multicare, daily whitening multicare with tartar control, professional, supreme, whitening toothpastes, whitening mouthwashes, Aquafresh, White Trays, Aquafresh White Trays, Listerine, over-the-counter
